Hollywood Undead packs the house at Trees

Since their formation a decade ago, Hollywood Undead has built a devoted fanbase with their youth-oriented lyrics and rap-rock sound. Coming off an appearance at Rock in Rio USA two days prior, they returned to a more intimate setting Monday night, May 11, at Trees in Deep Ellum. The venue was packed with teens, branded with the underage “X” on each hand, as well as fans in their mid-20s, many of which have followed the band from the start.

Skeletonwitch and Havok bring U.S. Abomination Tour to Dallas

Thrash metalers Skeletonwitch and Havok arrived at Trees on Thursday, Oct. 18, for the Dallas stop of the 63-shows-in-65-days “U.S. Abomination Tour.” Joined on this leg of the tour by Skeletonwitch’s Prosthetic Records label-mate Mutilation Rites, these guys are leaving a swath of destruction in their wake. If you think that is pure hyperbole, consider the fact that Big Tex went up in flames mere hours after the show ended.

Neverset Reunion

Neverset reunites at Trees for one night stand

Local rockers Neverset reunited on Saturday night for a final Dallas show at Trees in Deep Ellum. The event was a benefit for the Head Trauma Center of Dallas, in honor of Jeremy King, former guitarist for Altered, who lost his life in an accident two years ago. Jeremy was well-loved in the local music scene, as evidenced by the number of bands who turned up to help celebrate his life.
