Uproar Festival 2010

Rockstar makes an Uproar in Dallas

Once again the heat didn’t stop 9,000 fans from filling Superpages.com Center for a day of fantastic music. Rockstar Uproar Tour brought two stages worth of hard core rock to Dallas on Friday and all the bands put on one hell of a show.

Bands such as HELL YEAH and AIRBOURNE kept the crowds rocking through the late afternoon but come evening it was all over to the main stage. Female fronted HALESTORM kicked things off on the mainstage and really got things going. With a rich and powerful voice coming from the tiny Lzzy Hale this band may have just been my favorite of the night.

Corey Taylor – lead vocalist of SLIPKNOT – brought his talents with another band this time, STONE SOUR. Supporting their newest album, “Audio Secrecy”, STONE SOUR brought powerful vocals and killer riffs to the night. A7X kicked things up a notch with their impressive stage setup – gothic gates, skulls with wings, pyro, and haunted house type backdrop – as they supported their latest album, “Nightmare”. To the shock of some of the crowd things started out with an explosion and a man dropping from the rafters hanging from a noose. DISTURBED wrapped up the night with an equally powerful set consisting of tons of pyro and video images and in support of their latest No. 1 album “Asylum”. With a 65 minute set they kept the crowds going strong all the way to the end.
