Anytime The Pretty Reckless come to town, fans in Dallas get pretty excited. October 4, 2013 was no different. People lined up to see the Going To Hell Tour, consisting of The Pretty Reckless, Heaven’s Basement from the UK, and Louna from Russia. Already a fan of The Pretty Reckless and having heard Heaven’s Basement before but not seen them live, I was looking forward to the show. Louna I had not heard of until that night but they made a very lasting impression for more than just one reason.

All-American Rejects, Boys Like Girls
The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls are not afraid of the dark
The House of Blues Dallas played host to The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls on Wednesday, Oct 3. Occasionally, the screaming throng of teenage girls in attendance was actually able to see the members of the bands, when a random flash of light broke up the darkness that the bands spent the majority of their time standing in. Maybe it was an attempt to get the kids ready for the haunted houses they were sure to be attending soon. Regardless, it was not an ideal way to see the bands these fans had come to see.
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy
Slash heats up House of Blues
Saturday night was a busy night in Dallas for concerts. There was the Neverset benefit show out at Trees. There was Kings of Rock out at Pizza Hut Park. But that didn’t stop House of Blues from being completely sold out and a line wrapping not just around the building but through it. And who were all these people there to see? Why SLASH of course!

And with that many songs there was plenty to play for them.

Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi Lauper rocks House of Blues
When I think of Cyndi Lauper I think of the 80s. “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” was an anthem among teen girls and “Time After Time” went on to become a classic ballad covered by numerous artists. I don’t normally think of the blues when I think of Lauper – but that’s what we got last night at House of Blues. Which makes it sort of a fitting venue I suppose.
Dommin
A Night with Dommin
LA based Goth rockers DOMMIN made a stop in Dallas last night while on their way to New York to join up with Volbeat. To say the band’s Dallas fans were excited would be an understatement.
